Ms. Michelle Binder

Ms. Michelle Binder serves as Academic Director at ELRAY Jewish Academy, bringing over 25 years of experience in Jewish education as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, mentor, and curriculum developer in Jewish day schools across Los Angeles and Miami.

Ms. Binder holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a BA in Elementary Education. Throughout her career, she has coached and supported teachers in balanced literacy, Responsive Classroom, differentiated instruction, classroom management, technology integration, social-emotional learning, and Singapore Math. Since 2022, her work has focused primarily on instructional coaching and professional development, partnering with BJE-affiliated schools in Los Angeles through Title-funded programs.

A certified mentor through the Jewish New Teacher Project (JNTP), Michelle has also guided new educators through JNTP’s New Teacher Induction Program. She has contributed to CAIS accreditation at Sinai Akiba Academy and led curriculum development initiatives at Emek Hebrew Academy.

Ms. Binder's work is grounded in the belief of an inclusive, student-centered learning environment, strong teacher collaboration, and thoughtful instructional design that supports both academic excellence and whole-child development.

At ELRAY, Ms. Binder brings her deep experience, strategic vision, and passion for learning to building a strong, cohesive academic program that supports students, teachers, and families alike.
